Anna Reid, Head of Research at the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, presents her paper '"The Day is Bright and Open": Lucy Skaer's Geological Occasion'. The paper was prepared for Art Science Nature, a British Art Network seminar series led by Colchester and Ipswich Museums. The seminar series aimed to promote research and knowledge sharing about how British art and science have always been closely interlinked. This presentation was originally to be delivered in person at the Flatford Field Studies Centre as part of the fourth and final seminar in the series, 'The Ecology of Art', due to take place on 24 March 2020 but cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis.
