Does the 3 step process get rid of them for good? It's surprising to hear, because the majority of other videos and/or articles recommend smothering with with tarps and for at least 5 years, and even then they can grow back.

The method that I have had success with is to cut the stalks just a 1/2 inch above the ground and immediately spray a mixture of 705 acidity vinegar, salt and dawn dish soap. I mix the vinegar 1 part to 3 parts water, 1/4 cup of salt and 3 oz dawn dish detergent. I set my sprayer to stream and spray the mixture directly into the hollow stem. It's been year two and the clumps that I have sprayed have not resurfaced. There are a lot of other sprouts have come up but, not in the same area of the treated cluster.

Are the large mature shoots that come from the ground always hollow? They appear to be in your video but I'm not too sure? Thank you.
