Rao's is good, but for almost 8 bucks a jar I've become good at making my own for much cheaper.

I agree with Bobby Flay, Mutti is the best. It tastes like tomatoes which is what I enjoy most about it. I once ran across a store that had the jars on clearance and I bought them all. Sadly, I have used them up. I sometimes heat sliced garlic with olive oil until softened and then add the Mutti that is sold in a glass jar. I once tried the sauce they make in the can but it has way too much basil. If I have good tomatoes I even enjoy just cooking them with some added salt and enjoy it with nothing else over cooked pasta. That's how much I enjoy the real tomato flavor.

I just make my own. It takes me maybe 20 minutes. Throw tomatoes and stuff in a pot and warm it. Tried jar sauce in the '70s and was traumatized. Fundraiser dinners use jar sauce and I can eat it... not horrible but why.

There's some great store-bought pasta salsa's available. Unfortunately this one is not widely available.
