Named the World’s Best Pastry Chef in 2018, @cedricgrolet himself made a special appearance in his Singapore outpost a few days back to introduce his own rendition of the Kouign Amann. The Kouign Amann is a well-loved French pastry containing layers of butter and sugar! 🧈

The pastry often looks like a round snail-like shape, but his version is probably the prettiest we’ve ever seen, taking on the shape of a blooming flower. Rather than sugar, his’ is made using caramel, which gives it a richer taste and slightly smoky sweetness. He showed us how to best enjoy this pastry, which is by dipping it in a cup of hot Cappuccino. 🍮

There’s plenty of other pastries to look out for, such as his Pain Au Chocolat and White Choco Cookie. Albeit expensive, the amount of effort that he puts into each one of them is commendable. 👏
