When you outsprint Wout and you're a top GC rider who's known for his time trialing and climbing, you know you earned that win. With no Alaphilippe in this year's World's, I'd have to say that Wout is the favorite to take the title, but Tadaj may have something to say about that. Should be a great race.

Had a chance to watch the race. It was HOT.
My wife caught Pogachar's bottle that he did the final sprint in then threw into the crowd. Awesome day.

I was impressed by the fact that Rob Hatch knew that the Montreal Canadiens were the most successful professional ice hockey team in the history of the National Hockey League

The course plan at the beginning of the video seems to be the old version of the circuit. There is a modification around km 9 now.

The map shown was from 2019. This year they added another short climb. Thus the almost 5000m of elevation.

You show the wrong course, they changed it this year, it does not go on côte ste-Catherine all the way, they added a small climb before .

Impressive that WvA just made that group considering the crazy pace on the climb(s) when it formed. There is a reason it consisted of 3 pure climbers and Pogi. I guess he couldnt really recover from that edfort before that sprint, which also was quite long.
He said he was "pretty fucked up" before the sprint 😅

If this had been a women's event, van Vleuten would have attacked after 50 kilometers and kept a gap of 7 minutes for the rest of the race.

This was a race that was PERFECT for WVA... and Pogacar crushed him (in his specialty, a sprint). POGACAR IS THE GREATEST CYCLIST OF ALL TIME.

I feel the need to mention that the various Palestinian flags at the start were protesting the Israel Premier Tech team. There were chants and 2 very energetic palestinian men making sure you knew it.
