Rohit Chandra
Sir,
I am studying in Nit Uttarakhand.
But we don't have our parmanent campus though it is a national importance college. There is politics going on in the system as the local people don't want us to be shifted from our temporary campus.
It has been 8 years but we don't get a parmanent campus.
We were on the strike last year on the fear that anything might happen to us in the temporary campus as it is divided and we have to go to temporary campus through NH58.
The MHRD and administration promised us that the land will be alloted in 3 months but nothing happened.
This year on 4th October unfortunately our fear became a reality. Two students of the institute were hit by a car. One is in very critical condition.
For her and for the security of all students we are on strike since 3 days.
But nobody listen to us they come to us to stop the strike.
What the registrar of institute answered after all this tradegy is they will make alternate path to our labs.
No politicians listen to us because they are too concerned about their votes.
We want your help in whatever way you can provide. Please help us.
It is the matter of life of 1200 students and coming many more.. we are vulnerable to any threat. Your support to us means alot.
Regards students of NIT UK
