Friday Night Funkin' - Perfect Combo - Below The Depths (Sink) Mod [HARD]

Oh my god this mod was INSANE. I loved it so damn much, everything about it was honestly amazing!! Insanely cool concept for an .exe, just a forever drowning Sonic chained to some sort of heavy weight under the water, such a chilling and cool concept, can't get enough of it! Absolutely breathtaking presentation too, god all of the sprites look genuinely amazing!! The drowning Sonic looks great, that little background faint image of Sonic was amazing too and the background gives an INSANE feeling of depth, especially with those little mines coming down from the water, one of the most amazing looking mods I've ever come across! The song is SO insanely good as well, it genuinely feels like a lot of time and love was put into it and you can really feel that, I love how you can sort of hear through the mixing that feeling of drowning forever, with those silent moments in the song and the muffled feeling, god I loved it so much! Loved this mod, I really hope to see more super high quality stuff like this in the future! Hope you guys enjoy!

This channel consists of videos about modifications to a rhythmic video game (some of which I personally worked on) that range from slightly difficult to very hard for most players. Four arrows fly towards the screen forcing you to press them at the right time to the music. Hitting all the arrows in a song counts as a "Full Combo", which is very hard to do and takes a lot of time and practice to be able to do consistently and is the main gimmick of my channel, which I showcase in each video. I also include secrets and extra content that might’ve been undiscovered and show them off through instructional and entertaining ways that can be used as guides, as well as occasionally adding my own input on things happening in the video, all done through my creative editing style that focuses on being concise and transformative. In the descriptions I give my in-depth opinion on the video game as well as timestamps for each part of the video. if you didn't know, you actually can't die in this mod. You can beat the song without doing anything, as sonic is supposed to be stuck there for eternity.

The coolest (and also depressing) thing about this mod it's game over screen, it doesn't have one, instead it's says "press R to Restart", but no actual game over, because Sonic can't drown, in fact, you can win even when you "lose".

It makes sense why there wasn't a drowning theme in this song (or at least I didn't hear one)
The drowning theme means you're running out of time which wouldn't fit with being stuck under water for eternity.

Ironically enough, the song about Sonic LITERALLY drowning to death over and over again doesn't have the drowning motif anywhere in it. Marvelous.

When I was little I went to the YMCA. I was in the inside pool at the time. No one was looking so I decided to do a huge cannon ball into the deep end of the pool. My feet reached the ground and I decided to propel myself up by jumping on the ground floor of the pool. I started swimming upwards. And I kept swimming.. and swimming.. and swimming. It was starting to take really long.. too long. I started getting worried. My heart started beating out of my chest as I realized how deep into the water I really was. Soon I started making mistakes. A wrong move here and there that halted my progress out. I started getting really tired, it started getting painful to move as the air started slowly escaping me. Soon, it started feeling like I was helpless until my hand slipped into the surface. I used the rest of my energy to push myself to the surface and clung to the edge of the pool. I was just sat there panting as all of the other kids were having the time of their lives in the water.

Needless to say, this mod brought back a core memory.

Damn, this mod gives me straight chills. The way the drowning Sonic will clutch at the chain on his leg with the horrific look of fear, the up animation as he tries to reach for the surface, the way his idle makes it look like hes floating there lifelessly. This mod is fucking gold. I love the concept of characters put in deathly situations, it just spikes such a scary idea, like you're watching a friend struggle or die

I remember really hating the level this was based off of cause one bad jump made you end up like this. Pretty much. The part where it went muffled and silent for a moment gave me chills... like he blacked out for a second or something.

If that chain is made of iron, I wouldn't worry- he's not going to be down there for as long as the description says. The chain would rust away after a week. Still a nasty fate, but not "eternal" torture.

Favorite part is when everything goes mute and just when you think it's over, Sonic's Will just starts singing the beginning of Green Hill. It's comforting, it's nostalgic, it's familiar. As if to tell him to keep fighting because he has to get back to what he knows, to the world above. The world he loves. *His world*.

I imagine the moments of silence and followed by the huge charting is like if Sonic was about to give up but he continues to panic and try to set himself free in a frustrated hurry

I like the affect they put to make it like he’s in the deep pixel water plus the blood coming out of his mouth when he sings is a nice touch
