Ever since I found Montell, I have been so inspired by his creativity. He is the definition of a creative and I personally think that it is obvious that he allows God to guide his art, even now. I also love the stories he creates in his music and the videos he directs. I have noticed recently that many people seem to think that he is falling away from God, but I think the opposite. His recent art is definitely coming from something that he experienced, whether recently or a while ago, however just because it portrays him grieving and he doesn't explicitly talk about God in the songs doesn't mean that he is straying from God. He just changed the perspective of his storytelling. I think that he created a beautiful story using Jamie and his heartbreak. Jamie is us, and Montell is treating Jamie how God treats us. We have turned our back on him, he still wants us to talk to him. He destroyed himself for us. Even when we turned our back on him, he still wants us desperately.
