I had two power cuts yesterday and I found it really bizarre as they lasted no more than a minute each time. I’ve had a feeling in my stomach something’s going on and it’s best to get prepared. Stock up on essentials for u and your family, please don’t panic buy as thats the worst thing to do as sorry I’m going to say it, it’s selfish! Just make sure u have food, water, medicine etc.

So the UK Goobermint ruins everything & laughs at preppers who having been talking about it for years, and then says . . "Ohh you guys better get prepared" coz we can't organise a "piss-up in a brewery!" . . . 🤔

I think this is a recognition that we face many different types of civil or international disaster/threat. It's very much common sense to many but to a people who have become used to the good life of pretty much having anything from all over the world or at the click of a button, many need to be 'spoon fed'. Many people can't change a tyre let alone be self sufficient for a short period. It's worth remembering the UK is one of the few countries in Europe which doesn't have a civil defence infrastructure to assist the regular emergency and military authorities in times of natural disaster or emergency situations...maybe they are just realising this too.

Definitely a reason to be concerned. I think we need to all tell our neighbors that this speech took place without making it obvious we’re prepared ourselves.

This has become a more ans more often minister's/ officials have raised the specture of " prepare for something".
Re 3 days of kit, they are hedging their bets here, reality is should be a few weeks at least but they dont want to come out and say that so its " a few days".
Compounding the issue is folks used to have about 5 days / a week of food in the house pre covid. What with inflation and cost of living for many its dropped to 3 days or worse, day by day.

I recommend eyewear backups. Rx eyeglasses, Rx sunglasses (anytime, not just emergencies), a year supply of contact lenses with supplies if you wear them and store them in different places along with your Rx on paper. Speaking of paper, remember the toilet paper... and the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Don't Panic, put your sunglasses on, grab your towel and robe and carry on calmly. This is in addition to whatever 72 hour bug in or out preps you might already have or be assembling.

I am in the US. I like seeing your videos. It is helpful to know what is going on over there since our news is nothing but lies. We were prepping before the pandemonium started and realized then how unprepared we really were. Doing our best to be ready for 3-6 months of self sufficiency minimum.

Radiological risks just happens to line up with 3 day plans for relocation after a certain classification of event.

I'm calling that progress. Of course the vast majority will give it a stiff ignoring but it it makes 5 or 10 percent think about it and realise its no biggy then its more converts to the cause. I think there is a bit more interest in various aspects of prepping, even things like keeping chickens, I think there's more of us about but we're a furtive bunch.

I find it quite suspicious how they are advising people to do this.

I've got enough food for a few months already to live off but need to get way more water.

The advice for disabled people is pretty generic, buy they did point out to keep vital meds in a waterproof container, which was one thing I hadn't thought of. My meds are stored in a low drawer, and as I've had flooding in the past, I'll definitely be moving them.
