Saw Deep Purple over twenty times; Gillan more than fifteen times, Rainbow some six or seven times, Whitesnake seven times and Ian Paice with Gary Moore five times. Never will there come a day when I would disregard Deep Purple. Never ever. I've seen Black Sabbath. I've watched Led Zeppelin. I've regarded Uriah Heep. I've listed to Genesis; Jethro Tull, Yes, Lou Reed, Frank Zappa; Status Quo, Manowar, Neil Young. But there's no-one like Deep Purple, believe me. And sadly, there's no-one like Jon Lord.

Don Airey's keyboard solo here is amazing.

I'm amazed that DP didn't play this song or "Flight of the Rat" live back in the early '70s.

This is just sensational...what a great live performance by every single musician on stage including the orchestra... Gillan hitting all the right notes...and superb solo from Airey and Morse...10/10.

late Charles Bronson on keys.:) But seriously Don is good! Steve rocks and Gillan still has it, so does the rest of the band!

I would of loved to have heard Ritchie doing this with the orchestra, Gillan's voice is shot here proper

They say fighting is a young mans game. This is more spectacle than anything else. 'In Rock' was a long ass time ago. Historic record for heavy rock. Sir Ians chops are gone. Let it rest. Don't spoil your legacy..

I bet JohnLord who wrote it for Organ would not have been happy with this "softening violins in the back"
