A little studio session with the Roland TR-808, my second all time favourite drumcomputer of which especially the bass drum, I used in countless records and remixes.

In memory of Ikutaro Takehashi, founder of Roland musical instruments. Without him we wouldn't have known House and Techno the way we do today.

I’m planning on buying the RD 808 next month. Sans winning the lottery its gonna be the closest I get to a real 808. I’ve owned the drumstation jomox 888/999. It seems to be the best clone. Drumstation had great 808 sounds though.

The pre-scale selector is set on triplets, why does it sound like regular 16th notes over a 4/4 beat? Please educate me :-)
