The EM waves emitted by Human technology have reached further into our universe than anything else we can materially recognize coming from our planet. The reach of life will always be limited by the technology available to it, and thus I agree that technology os as alive as Humanity is considered to be alive. From living languages to dead languages, from utiilized tech to discontinued tech, and from propagated ideas to quelled ideas, life exists in forms such as these in a way that goes beyond the simple material understandings that enclose the current model of life in science. They are neither fully separate nor totally intertwined with one another, yet still neither exists without the other.
