How to install YouTube app to your Steam Deck (Simple Way )

1. Switch to Desktop Mode and install Microsoft Edge Browser from the native software center of Steam Deck
2. Open Edge Browser, go to YouTube page and Use Options/Apps - Install YouTube App.
3.Find YouTube App in Application Launcher menu of Steam Deck, push left trigger (equivalent right button of the mouse) and choose Add to Steam option
4.Find YouTube App again in Application Launcher menu of Steam Deck, push left trigger (equivalent right button of the mouse) and choose Edit Application/Application/ then copy text string in Arguments column,
then go to Steam app and find YouTube Application in the Library , press properties, then copy that string to the column Launch Options
5. Go back to Game mode , launch App, you can find it in non steam apps , and tune the controls, you can download controls from steam community.

Problems that can happened:
- If App is a square resolution , bind any key to f11 , when you will press it then app will go fullscrean and next time it will not be any problems.
- If you have some problems with launching app, be sure than you copied and pasted all the line of text , try to reboot your steam deck .

Why the hell are there so many cuts that cut out things that are important to see? I spent 20 minutes trying to find layouts in settings because its hidden behind multiple menus that he didnt show and then he didnt show how to get the layout that supposedly works and when i search for the one he uses it says it doesn't exist. Also judging by the name the entire channel is about technical stuff with steam decks so how has he not figured out how to capture the screen? I had to squint to see what he was doing half the time because the words were a blur

I use the firefox browser in game mode...works great for me.

Use Edge like he explains. Chrome will give you an error.
Also the second string area will have text already, and the keyboard might not work here. Just L2 and "cut" the string to be removed, then go back and copy the right one again
