Thank you. Happy to hear you give YOUR patients choices and a thorough discussion. You have given me more information than my own ophthalmologist . I found your discussion of astigmatism and whether or not you recommend TORIC lens for <1.0 diopter and instead use the LASER. Again, my surgeon did not give me any of this knowledge. MY astigmatism is 0.5 (each eye). I paid for Panoptix Toric lens which he required the Femto-laser so possibly could have fixed it with that. I am 3 days out of surgery and cant really see near or intermediate while my distance sucks as well. I am not able to drive since I dont want to hurt anybody. I will NOT be doing my 2nd eye UNTIL I see the end results of this surgery. He also told me on my 1 day post op appt I will have to have YAG . Going back to my optometrist to get a new Rx for glasses in 2 weeks.

How about this one? Have ptosis, which has progressed to the point of obstructing vision, with the eyelid drooped across the upper cornea viewing area and over time has caused a 'wrinkle' in the cornea, resulting in vertical monocular diplopia, false image above the real image of whatever I'm looking at. Scheduled for cataract surgery by end of this month. Eye doc logically says to wait til after surgery to correct ptosis. OK. So we wait til afterwards and get the ptosis corrected later. With this corrected and not causing the wrinkle anymore, the prescription will no doubt change. So then we correct with glasses?
