This looks like a counterfeit everything looks off from the coating the font and the size of the text, the serrations, the color.

Serrated edges are only double-sided on bread knives. Otherwise, you have a very thin and brittle edge.

It's a counterfeit if you can check the serial number, the authentic has 4 or 5 characters only. But it's amazing. It can still kill.

The funny thing is - Asian dude reviews Asian fake copy. The long serial number and the stitching gave it away.

I have one and it has been a very functional knife but as I am often deployed to very hot areas, the knife handle is now very sticky, like the rubber is breaking down. I am considering covering it up with some 550 cord or replacing it altogether.

I own 3 Strongholds and that one doesn't look quite right. I have the black, the tan, and the green camo models ordered directly from Gerber. All 3 are full tang with window breaker pomel, straight edge, no serrations, they do make one with the serrated edge but I'm not a fan of the serrations. I'm too "old school". All 3 of mine hold an edge that you can shave with, and I haven't found anything (within reason) that I can't cut through. Gerber, Camulis, Case, Cold Steel are about the only knives I'll buy. Neither have ever failed me. The knife in this video doesn't quite "look right" to me. I may be wrong, but it may be a "clone" from China.

There are a few reasons why only one side of the serrations is beveled. If you had to sharpen the serrations for whatever reason, you would only grind the non-beveled side.

Yo im pretty sure this is a fake i almost got a fake from amazon because it was cheaper than in Gerber’s official website but i saw the reviews and they were saying it was fake make sure cause there are alot of fakes

That’s a. Counterfeit the real strongarm has more gentle serrations an is slightly different colour

If it's made out of 420hc it's a solid pieces but i don't see any info on the blade Bad thing i don't like when a knife Come with no info on the blade

The problem with this knife, is the steel its made from is on the softer side; the chinese copy is even worse.

this knife has one of the worst steels for edge retention, you can't do shit with this knife except for the fact it really durable

Gerber has fallen so far from their glory days when they made real knives like the BMF and LMF! Wish I would’ve kept mine (BMF)!
