Sam likely is the go-to canine expert on fish breeding -- he's very focused on everything you're doing! Watching fry you've bred and raised grow is so satisfying! These look like something to try!

I’ve been trying to find minnow breeding videos to do in my biology class for the last few days - this is incredible, thank you!

Great little beginners fish that can handle quite cold water, we used to have these in wine barrels at the plant nursery I worked at, we used to give people a free scoop of young when they would buy a water plant, good for mosquito control but you just have to be careful they don't get into our waterways, there has been colonies in the past in some of our mountain streams from probably people releasing them, Thanks for sharing Nick always fun to watch.

Hey, here in the US they make paint strainer bags that fit a 5 gal bucket perfectly, Might be easier than getting that flat screen to fit

Well done Nick, this method will work for lots of egg scatterers, and both for the beginner and pro!

Cheers from my fish room channel in Chicago, where I am a delighted subscriber to yours! I'm also happy you clarified that snails eat excess food rather than consume fish waste, which no snails do.

Very enjoyable to watch. I don't think I will be doing this any time soon, but Your video made me want to get some baby shrimp going for my 29 gallon shrimp/endler tank, a jungle of frog bit roots hanging down, guppy grass, & java moss and a few other plants, driftwood, a little coral rock, anyway there are always fry hiding out in the plants, & baby shrimp is a good way to feed the shrimp & endler fry.& help them thrive.

when i was a kid, we used to use green water, some filter grunge, and hard boiled egg yolk suspension to feed the 'bugs' as well as provide a 1st food for fry. (small (pea size) piece of hard boiled yolk, shaken thoroughly in water, fed by/in drops sparingly. worked a treat.-fed yolk suspension to corals, too. just fyi :) ). enjoyed the vid, as always.

White Clouds are on of my favorite fish. I have a really nice line of long fins. For feeding the fry, I really like using green water.

I succeeded with your method. I found filling the entire bucket with moss and letting the fish swim inside for an hour worked more efficiently for me than having a mesh with the moss. They produce a greater yield. I had only 5 babies with the mesh after 3 days. then the next week I stopped using the mesh to sift eggs and got 12 appear after 3 days. Method worked great
