After heat treating we surface grind the blades in preparation for hardmilling.

I found after this video that wetting the back of the sandpaper and having it stick flat got me a lot more consistent results. I do think getting some real lapping plates would probably make this work flow a little more consistent.

Some parts off te proces take more time then other but I Will not call it boring. It s more like work off a different level . Looking forward to the hardmilling and the end result of all youre hard work !

Don't buy a lapping machine, buy a better surface grinder. To reduce the heat buildup use thinner grinding wheels, less contact area will reduce the friction heat build up, also turn the blades on more of an angle, less time on the part will reduce the heat build up.

If the blades are warped at all when you turn on the magnet they will flatten out, then you grind and still have a warp, consider shimming the blades if they have ANY warp.
