Another classic catch. This is a FORTY year old 737-200 based at Honolulu. Still active with Trans Air, flying island hops. Originally registered as N137AW in 1984 with America West Airlines. Just listen to those JT8Ds. Looking and sounding as good as she did in 1984!

I love the look of the 737-200, especially the engines!

There were many to choose from, however this was my favorite moment from HNL. Thank you J & G.

I'm spoiled. While you travelled to HNL to watch it, I had a Dad that flew it. And gave me jump-seat on many occasions. Nothing beats the roar of a JT8D on an old frame.

Beautiful! Last time I flew one of these was a BA flight from Heathrow to Jersey back in 1989. Thanks Jeff & Gilly!

Now that’s what you call a 737 . Proper old school engines

Absolute Gold Jerry. How good does does she look on that climb out. Brings back memories of the old days flying on these and the 727s with Ansett Airlines.

I flew on a Britannia version many years ago. The bucket reverses were a sight to behold ❤

It was cool to see a 737-200 passenger plane in another YouTuber's video just a few days ago and then this! Nice!

The 737-200 is very well proportioned just how it should be really, the livery looks good on this particular one in the vid.

Classic 737 fantastic still going strong Boeing made them good then

They are used extensively in Northern Canada because of their high clearance under the engines on rough strips.

That classic 737 and the F-22s were my favourites. This is how the 737 should have remained with the engines fitting under the wings.

What a great sound! I love that the registration is N413JG. (For “Jerry” & “Gilly” 😂)

Air New Zealand had a number of them. Classics in their time. Loved those engines.

I wonder how many times that plane flew right over my house when I lived in Mesa, Arizona (1992-1999) on the approach to PHX Sky Harbor Airport? In those days, I was bored by those 737's with the "old skinny engines"....and even 727's too. How I never appreciate the good things that I have while I have them. 😖I'm ready for my flogging now.
