Buchla 208c Easel Command west coast avant-garde synthesizer rhythmic improvisation

This Buchla 208c Easel Command performance was made to focus on the use of the sliders as the instrument itself. I had a lot of fun making both extreme and subtle changes to the sliders in order to effect change over time. The magic happens with the two oscillators moving at slightly different pitches, and I'm taking advantage of using the sequential voltage assigned to the timbre of the complex oscillator to make more of a rhythmic pulse.

My son just got out of the hospital, so this performance was made at home after a VERY long week. I may or may not be back in my studio sometime soon.
