I'm Indonesian, but I don't know why when I hear the Philippine national anthem I feel like I'm going to a battlefield, with a rhythm like that it feels like I'm going to keep attacking the enemy even though lots of bullets penetrate my body! It's very powerful Anthem!

Fun fact: The Philippine national anthem was originally written in spanish called Marcha Nacional Filipina during the Philippine revolution. Then it was briefly banned during the american occupation then it was translated to English before it was translated to Tagalog that what we all know today.😊

The Philippine National Anthem was made just after the revolt against the Spanish colonizers, so that may account for it's militaristic theme.

FYI, Indonesia Raya has 3 stanzas, and at my school where I become a teacher, we are required to sing all of 3 stanzas before starting the very first class of the day.

Cambodia: 7/10. Relaxing and the flag is interesting.
Vietnam: 8/10. Idk there just something about it that I very much like.
Thailand: 8.5/10 the same reason for Vietnam.
Philippines: 9.1/10 Love the People and the Anthem.

I am from the Philippines but I like the Indonesian National Anthem among them all. I like the rhythm and the flow of the melody. Just feels so good to hear.

Philippine national anthem is a war-time march to bind Filipinos fighting in the battlefield to the last breath. Had it been composed in a peaceful time, it could have been a Kundiman or a ballad of what a Filipino spirit is.
