Apple Watch Series 7 Review

Apple’s smartwatch refresh for 2021 brings small changes vs. Series 6, though that 1mm larger watch face might seem big. Now available in 41mm and 45mm sizes, the Apple Watch 7 brings 33% faster charging, more durable glass for the Aluminum model, and new colors. It’s compatible with existing bands and has the same health biometrics as Series 6, including blood oxygen and EGC. This is the first Apple Watch I’ve ever purchased. From the looks of the blue in this video I’m glad I purchased it. Just have to wait for it I’m getting it end of December beginning of January unless it changes when it ships

Do I need a iPhone to fully utilize its features or can I use a iPad, I have a 2nd generation iPad Pro 12.9". My cell phone is a Galaxy S21 Ultra love the look of the watch but don’t want to get a iPhone.

Great review Lisa, all the good info without the noised and showmanship of other popular reviewers.
A recent study at University of São Paulo found the Apple Watch to be accurate in both SpO2 and pulse rate as compared to commercially available Oximeters, though the Watch tended to read slightly higher. Study was conducted on patients with lung disease.
My personal experience, using both my Series 6 and commercial fingertip oximeter over the last year was that the Watch actually tended to match, or underreport the SpO2 by 1% point when taken simultaneously. Taking the oxygen reading on the watch can be a pain in the butt sometimes, you have to place your arm just right, resting with the watch fitting just right to get a reading.
Interestingly, if you turn on the setting in the Apple Health app to allow the watch to record SpO2 while sleeping, the watch comes up with a reading about every 30 minutes, but who knows how many times it had to try to get it while you were sleeping.

I can not find the screen size for the series 7 ANYWHERE! (I mean besides the square mm). I want to know the regular size, like corner to corner, ya know, the way we've been sizing monitors for years and years...
