Mayor Bowser responds after being asked about her sexual orientation at LGBTQ+ event

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser told reporters Friday that while she is a strong supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, she is “straight.”

The comment came after Bowser was asked if she was a closeted lesbian during a press conference Thursday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the District's first LGBTQ+ shelter for adults.

If a person is of a certain age, never been married, never seen with a man, woman, boyfriend, girlfriend, they assumed you're gay or lesbian. There been rumors for years regarding BOW WOW being gay and I never given it a thought. People assume because she is a 49 year old woman, never been married, or seen seen having a boyfriend, they assumed she was a lesbian. When she adopted a child a few years ago almost at middle age, many Washingtonians were shocked. People need to mind their business and stop worrying about other people's lives. The old Pakistanian QUEEN that asked this inappropriate question should be ashamed of himself.

Because she preaches being proud and pride pride pride but if she is so proud if she is a Lesbian why not come out. Lol. I mean it's her business and I could care less but that's what people's mindset is when they ask that question of her.

BOwser has become quite adapt at side skirting answers to difficult questions. She has also proven herself to have distanced her from the public she allegedly serves. She has been ignorant and turned a blind eye to inept employees and division directors . Lack of honest trasnparentcy does not deserve a second chance. She has proven who she is. Vote for new blood rather than proven deceit.
