Unironically the best Zeals video maybe ever. The game is just too hardcore and only caters to veterans. It's a 10ish year old game that needs hard resets and needs to be casual friendly first. I think the only thing that brings back significant players at this point is Lost Ark 2.

After Kazeros will be the best opportunity they ever have to swap to Lost Ark 2 and just have a story recap at the start for new players. If they don't take that opportunity the game is destined to eventually fade into obscurity.

What i want is... Make everything SOLOABLE, drops, materials, (mount drops, pet drops) i dont want to keep playing with 7 random people that i have to put together every week and coordinate the time of everyone, its impossible for some people, time is limited. (but its an mmo not a sologame, well then the game will eventualy die)

I love lost ark so much but the gatekeeping and some other issues is not worth it to advance till you hit a wall.

lost ark day 1. over 4k hrs I still log in daily but 2-3 alts every reset. play others when im free. I enjoy this game. still learning some raids. took many breaks over the years.

MMOs in general are niche just cuz of the fact you can't just hop in and play whenever you want to like FPS and other type of games, they require constant time and effort. Even the goats of MMOs that had millions of players back in the day like WoW classic up to Wotlk required a constant time investment, you couldn't raid ICC and original Naxx with T1 gear, they had to get thru the grind of progressing raids, doing dungeons and other content to get to the hardest and "fun" content. Even if they release LA2, the game would be popular for a couple of months and slowly start bleeding, games like LA come and go with every major patch/update just as all the other MMOs, that is just the reality of MMOs, they all slowly dwindle and bleed out players until they had 50-100k hardcore population and thats it.

They had a perfect opportunity after Echidna to throw Kazeros and finish the chapter and move in to Lost Ark 2. But they want to milk it further. Stupid devs.. Just see the Henry's face in last stream, they knew they fkd..

I still think LoA combat in raids is exceptionally fun. Why there's so little players then? The answer is very simple. Ratio of good parts (combat/classes/raids/some islands) to bad parts (all vertical and horizonal systems/etc) is extremely skewed towards bad and there's no replayability in this game. You managed to overcome transenance/elixirs/ark passive on 1 character? Good for you, you can now play about 2 hours worth of content each week and if you want more you need to go through the systems again to earn maybe another 1 or 2 hours of good weekly content. It's just not worth it for any sane new player.

Lost Ark is not a newbie friendly game. I've tried to recruit and played with new players unfortunately other players doesn't give a damn with the newbies. Imagine newbies are enjoying Akkan and Dang they nerfed the gold. Then veteran players hard gatekept newbies in Thaemine. So sad that this game's mechanic is S tier and yet players are just cancer.

After Theamine, Echidna and behemoth, They should have release Kazeros raid and end the chapter. They wanna milk the game as far as can and that will eventually kill the game. I mean, why the f that u hv to raid same bosses again after you defeating them. They just don't know when to stop and hard reset.

I agree with almost everything, I would say though that the MMO genre is not dying, I think a ton of people would love a new big MMO to play, it's just that there hasn't been a new one in years that has everything that people are looking for, especially the LA and BDO playerbase that want an MMO with a great combat system. Throne and Liberty came out but the combat and movement in that game is heavily lacking, and even then it had almost 400k people just on steam that tried the game on launch. Lost Ark had like 1.5 mil that tried the global launch a few years ago. I think the interest is there, but there hasn't been anything that appealing recently. The majority of MMO players are still playing the same few 10+ year old games.

so i am gonna tell you something zeals me and my friends spoke about this matter and here is the thing for us to take someone into the raid he has to have: LOS max/ elixrs 40set/tranc max/ good gems not even or lvl 5 gems at least lvl 7 t4 gems or 6 and after he gets all of this we gonna go and ask do you have title even if he is 9/10 clears he will be declined and thats what you need to enter into 1 group to do 1 raid i didnt say about adv honing wich you need to be able to get free 20 item lvls but thats the game you cant take players with you into raids coz the way they make the raids or the nerfs they do is lazy only hp nerf is not help make it so we will be able to clear a thaemine g1-g3 without having to fear if someone new fails counters at g2 we have to flame him coz we gonna play the same thing for 10 minutes until we get to the next phase

Community is the biggest gatekeeper of this game in the west. TKG showed brel 1.0 party finder in kr.. bro.. it looks similar to ours when it launched.... no wonder you can play in kr as new player. in the west people cry about not being able to play week 1 because they know they wont be able to prog week 2 and later.

I'm not happy with T4 balance at all. I think they really fucked over entropy and gave hitmasters way too much dmg for way too easy. Particular classes like reaper, wtf.

Honestly, can say the same thing about those who respect their time will want to keep their progression than have it reset every season or so lmao
