This is so cool that i'm seeing this! I'm a Civil Air Patrol Cadet and recently went on a week long camp at GSARA and we did the same pool drills at this same pool. In the video I can see the same drill instructor we got.

This wasn't part of my basic training back in the very early 90's, but I'd of loved doing it. Miss those days in the Army.

I wonder if they had to do what we did oh so long ago? I was a combat medic in the 10th Mountain Division “light infantry”. This was part of our waterproofing training. Going off diving board simulates out on a low to no light night patrol and walking off a cliff or embankment of some kind. We had to hit the drink, pop up, and holding that heavy ass “rubber duck” M-16 over our head in 1 hand & sidestroke to shore (which was the length of the Olympic size pool). talk about exhausted! I passed. I asked instructor if they passed me because I was the only black guy who could swim? They died laughing because that never entered their minds. 😂
