Yes I do understand and agree. I run paid events all year round. I don't use any lead magnets I just sell directly my events. I get as a result a very responsive list and people who stick around as clients for many years.

Depends on your audience. I've tested this and my audience responds WAY better to freebies as they are mostly students (don't have a lot of money to spend) and are mistrustful of direct selling if they don't know who I am yet (most of them belong to Gen Z). So anyone reading this - make sure you TEST THIS FOR YOUR OWN AUDIENCE and listen to your gut about what they may prefer!!

i do the freebie to get people on my email list incase Instagram goes down or so, I have my audience on my emails...not to sale because I know if they don't buy instantly usually will not buy later
