6:53 When the pilot first came out, I told one of my less-online friends about Jax. Trying to describe his appearance made him seem much friendlier. "A purple rabbit with pink overalls and yellow gloves." just sounds like some sort of adorable but obscure Mickey Mouse cartoon character.

Lavendertowne single handedly got me back into drawing when I quit a few years back. Now after working hard I GOT ACCEPTED INTO AN ART SCHOOL, and love what I do! Thanks for helping out artists and making amazing content Lav!

Honestly, leaning into Jax kinda being a Tumblr sexyman is a great choice. It /might/ hae been eye-roll worthy if it was unconcious, but knowing it was the point because he fits the troupe just makes it great. Especially since you went beyond the stereotype to give him a punk look, which is perfect for his personality.

Also, I love the use of teeth in Kane! It really helps make him feel more distinct than if he'd just been wearing his ringmaster outfit.

Also, you talking about Zooble reminded me of how much I love them and their story. I do wish you'd tried the hiding in a hoodie idea you mentioned, since I think that could have been a fun twist, especially if the colorful hair stood out from it and maybe having a winged backpack or something...

Well this is a great chance for me to ramble about TADC.
1- I really like its character focus and each character has there own ep. Instead of being lore focus where the character are very one note/don’t get enough screen time for us to care and know about them.
2- I really hope it shows Jax as a person who’s terrible not because he has a tragic backstory. But because he just can and there isn’t any conquences (so far) that we know of. So it’s basically a playground for a person who can do whatever they want without thinking about how it affects others.
3- this is less about TADC itself but just the animation industry as a whole. But it’s sadness me that the state of the animation industry is what is it right now thanks to late stage capitalism. With big company’s firing their workers, and the remaining ones are overworked and underpaid.
The best thing right now is to support indie creators and support movements for workers to have better pay and treatment

i think that digital circus is a lot deeper than people give it credit for. it resonates so deeply as someone with a personality disorder; all the characters have different mental health problems from being forced to stay in the circus and being so actively policed into being polite/child friendly. it makes me feel so represented
