I love seeing the bullet holes in the lighthouse windows it's so reassuring to know humans are still an assholes👍

I learned how to drive a big rig by using a toy big rig and watching them back up, up close. That one hour explained everything, except a few loading bays in New York city. Towing a small trailer is as easy. Just maneuver slowly and things won't go nuts as fast.

5:05 that would be a sweet trip, from St Margarets Bay NS 😆

Always engage 4wheel drive before you get near the ramp

Nice. We were the first group who took the skis to GIC. Still one of the greatest places to visit :)

Pretty pics of the Bahamas sure makes for a tempting trip.
I think the debris you spoke of was algae slime. On many boat ramps it's just a given no matter what lane you pick. Your best chance is to pick one where those who went before wore some of it away.

It was humbling to learn how to back up a tractor/trailer for my CDL. Practice was the answer.

Duck season comes in this Saturday so I'm going to uncover the boat after it's summer slumber today.

The attempting to submarine a truck isn't exclusive to Florida. Michigan rivers occasionally get a few a year, or snowmobiles too early crossing lakes.

I once saw two large garbage bags on the boat launch as I backed down in the pre-dawn Darkness. It turned out to be two young women passed out drunk. Close call

I learned from my Dad early-on: you only back down the ramp until your hubs get in the water.... Nothing but rubber touches salt-water.

Launching and recovering a 20' cabin cruiser was never an issue and we spent hundreds of hours on the Delaware Bay.

Morons that have to submerge their entire trailers in the canal to launch or recover their boats are to be pitied.... It's sad that people on the left-side of the IQ-curve can actually handle

Seeing some of those cars and trucks floating at the end of the ramp makes me wonder if there would be any new and different problems if the tow vehicle was an EV, since EV batteries and water don't always get along.

Did someone shoot the glass in that lighthouse?

all those laddies need to hop into the utes tub. a few extra KG will get them up the ramp. And let the air out of the tyres if you need extra grip.

Keep sand bags near the ramp to place in the back of your vehicle/truck for more weight and traction. Please put them back when done.
