The story retells the events of the first three games, in a new timeline where Raiden receives a message from himself in the prime future after the Battle of Armageddon has happened and Shao Kahn became the supreme leader of all the realms. Because of this plot, characters and scenarios present are the classic ones, bringing the old to new and starting a new conflict.

Why is Chad wearing a wig? Can you guess the MK1 reference?

Fun fact: Noah Felder was the mocap guy for a couple mk1 characters including Smoke and he was taught some karambit stuff from THE karambit guy Cecep Arif Rahman from the raid 2 :)

I love this addition for Smoke. I never train in Silat, but I’ve seen much of this martial art, and seeing Smoke using the Karambit is mesmerizing.

Chad could cosplay a grandmother and I'd still find it stylish

That guy who’s being used as an example is really good at not only following along with your words and actions, but also keeping his eye on that blade at all times. Obviously he knows you’re not trying to hurt him and already have some safe guards on the knife, but you can never be too safe when handling a deadly weapon.

I love that your teachings all involve you not only finishing the fight as quickly as possible, but also _moving out of the way._ A lot of people romanticize the fight too much, getting away from danger is often seen as cowardly by the inexperienced/uninitiated. I appreciate that your conviction for self-defense is truly grounded in your survival, you don't stay in the kill box, you act quickly and get out of there. No reason to prolong a situation that's already threatening your life.

Thank you for the gracious teaching!

In mortal kombat no one would die to a slash to the throat

It would be so cool if you guys broke down more moves from MK11 and MK1, the weapon attacks are so interesting and I always wonder how efficient they are.

Did no one mention how quick his first attack was? That speed was impressive, good work.

The Karambit is easily one of the most simple yet painful weapons to deal with. One good slash and it pulls your insides out. And the fact that it can also be used in the same way as brass knuckles is also a great feature in a fight

The look on dudes face when the knife was getting close to his throat😂! Almost like he didn't trust him for a second.

If you really want to learn more about the karambit I heavily suggest you check out Doug Marcaida, he's a judge in Forged in Fire and he's really damn good with a karambit

It's always so amazing yet terrifying watching just how effortlessly you guys get around any kind of block with a knife. I already knew that even an inexperienced opponent with a knife is very dangerous. But after seeing the experts at work, I have no doubt that I'd be sliced and diced like tuna poke in 10 seconds or less lol.
