Yeah, personally, I think when he says "I miss missing you", he's talking about missing the feeling of wanting somebody. He doesn't necessarily want whoever he's missing, but he wants those emotions again, the ones that he doesn't have anymore. He misses being in love, he misses feeling. It's quite sad, actually.

What I'm getting from this line is the stereotypical thing that the white picket fence in front of houses represents that you have your life together, but the word "were" really hits me hard because it's like he lost the sense of security, that line just hits real deep

"before it gets better the darkness gets bigger" really speaks to me because i was recently diagnosed with clinical depression but because FOB came back things are looking up! they made me feel less alone and that i'm special. they're my best friends and i could never ask for a better band to save my life. thanks for being my anti-depressants. i love you.

this song literally sends shivers down my arms during the chorus and i feel an empty pit in my chest and i just want to lay down and cry yet it sounds like such a happy "pop punk" song

Patrick wrote this song, he wrote it for his solo album 'Soul Punk' But in an interview, he stated that "He felt like it was more of a Fall Out Boy song" So he saved it for 'Save Rock and Roll'.
