It's now been 3 YEARS(?!) that I've been living up in the former mining town of Cerro Gordo. Truly insane to think about from my end. It's been the best 3 years of my life and looking back on all that happens it has helped shaped who I am. I am so so excited to see what the next 3 years will bring.

Thank you all so so much for all your support over the years!

Hey, been a farmer for a long time. You stressed the point that one of the things you missed most is accessibility to Fresh Produce. I do believe a Geo Dome Greenhouse you could be vegetable sustained. I would recommend an aquaponic tank that you could administer to your plants using aeroponics which would save 90% from traditional grows. I would also recommend some raised-bed Gardens for potatoes and such. Inside windowsill herb gardens are a must. Also a basement can be utilized as the perfect place to grow your favorite culinary fungi. If you would like to bat around some ideas together I would love to assure you food security. Nothing feels better than eating your own food.

The fact you've been there for 3 years got me thinking about how fast time can pass by. You've achieved so much so far, but I hope you get into the omega tunnel

A lot of future generations owe you a huge thank you for everything you have done at Cerro Gordo.

You have changed it from a dead ghost town into a "living ghost town" that thousands of people care about. You are your home are bringing history back to the surface both figuratively and physically. High fives and one day I hope to visit and find a way to help.

brent's ability to make a film is fantastic. the shots he gets with his drone, his ability to tell a story, how he is able to just keep talking through the whole video and keep us entertained and informed is incredible.

i dont think brent has ever mentioned if he has done some cinematography or filmmaking before, so he truly has a good knack for it!

I am in London, England, the story of your ghost town fascinates me. You absolutely terrify me every time you go into one of the mine shafts. Watching the progress of the renovations is wonderful. Well done for your sacrifice and dedication. Stay safe, best wishes from the UK 🇬🇧

Ghost Town Living produces some of the best content on YouTube. Brent's enthusiasm and passion is so palpable in his videos. I really enjoy the mine exploration and mineral sampling that Brent does with Jason and Dan. The combination of history, restoration and exploration is captivating to watch.

Every year you come out with a yearly update, I come back to your channel and it is incredible to see how everything has transformed. The love and hard work you've put into reviving this place is nothing short of amazing. Keep it up, brother!

Been here since the very first video, absolutely gripped in the story of Cerro Gordo, and Brent’s ability to tell great stories. Been great seeing the progress made within the town, heartbreak of the fire and the flash floods, joy at you overcoming adversity and getting stuck in to rebuild.

Brent, you are an inspiration ❤️

I was “biting my nails” as I watched you scoot down that degraded mine shaft. It was a relief to hear that you are looking into mining engineers and gaining some experience in that area. I appreciate the contribution you are making in terms of the history of the West and its mines.⛏

I think it's almost poetic that the lake is returning after all these years, a visual representation of the life, passion and hope filling up Cerro Gordo through Brent. Also goes to show that harships in life may also come with things to be glad about if you are positive enough to look for them. A destroyed road today may be a new lake tomorrow.

I alternate between excitement and dread when Brent ventures into these really sketchy mine tunnels. 😳 but it’s clear how much he loves it!

Thanks for being so welcoming to my adventure seeking grandsons, James and Conner. The time you spent with them left a desire for more discoveries at the end of many more dirt roads. I had already viewed a few of your videos and am now subscribed to watch the transformation of your amazing Ghost Town.

Your past 3 years reminds me of the old saying, "None of us know what tomorrow will bring ... but, in Cerro Gordo tomorrow might just be the best day of your life". There's so much to explore. 💚

Brent, get a Borescope with a couple of meters of wire length.

It will probably make scouting a whole lot easier!

This is my favourite channel on youtube by far. It's just so raw, honest and exciting. All from the heart of one man and his love for the place. I wish I was there, too!

I'm always amazed how your anniversary videos are never just boring recaps of things we've already seen, it's so often new stuff.
