How Much Money Do Pro Skaters Make?

Here we take a quick look at how much an average pro makes and compare it to what an NBA basketball player makes.

60, 000 is a crazy generous estimate. Unfortunately I think it's way less on average - possibly 25g.

The nba wages are so dumb. A 1st year rookie should make around $100, 000 a year tops

This is pretty sad considering pro skaters like moose still work at Home Depot on the side to make a living. The reality that most pros can’t make a living off JUST skateboarding unless you’re either prod, nyjah, Shane, Yuto etc.

To the people complaining, skaters make commission off of the products they sell. The boards, the shoes etc.. which is why most skaters with their own shoe make the most. But skating has significantly dropped off the public radar over the last 10 years. Skater owned brands have a hard time staying open as it is. They can’t pay a skater money they don’t have.
