Welcome to Wings of Fire, a world with derpy dragons, OP tribes, and a mildly insane fandom. In this video, we’ll dive into the rich lore of Pyrrhia, the powerful dragon tribes, and the prophecies that drive the fate of this epic fantasy world.

Special thank you to Gatoress for footage and fact checking!

On Roblox there's three Wings of Fire games that I know of!

"Wings Of Fire: Early Access" a Roleplay game, "Talons Of Destiny" a Roleplay game, "Wings Of Fire: Seven Thrones" a Survival game which was quickly forgotten (Imo, its not that great.)

Iirc theres also an up and coming WoF Roblox Game called "Wings Of Fire: The Journey" though its not out yet and is in testing phases."

*I accidentally showed SandWings while talking about MudWings—totally my fault, and a dumb mistake on my part. Thanks for pointing it out in the comments. I put a lot of time into researching, writing, and editing these videos, but I’m just one person, and sometimes things slip through.

I totally get that mistakes like this can be frustrating, especially if this series means a lot to you—it does to me too. Hopefully it still comes through, if you watch the full video, how much I love this series and how much effort went into making it.

Always appreciate the corrections in the comments though—and thanks for bearing with me!

This series consumed me as a kid lmao. I really loved being a part of the fandom, even though some people were really weird about gatekeeping their fan tribes :')

Oh man as a warriors kid who loved dragons I ate these books up. Only for a few years though, I pretty much grew out of them before the first series was through with. But as an artist I still adore the cover art. Glad to see you cover this series

For those of you interested in non-human dragon-centric perspective works, another series named Age of Fire by E.E Knight might interest you. It has more humans in it than WoF, but it's all about dragons forging their own empire and trying to legitimize themselves as to the other nations.

It also has a perspective shift between the siblings that are at the center of everything between each of the first 3 books.

Im so happy wings of fire is getting more attention because that means more people will get to see how amazing dragons can be if they aren't just tools for humans to use or slay!

I'm a huge WoF fan. At the age of 56, I'm way older than a lot of other fans, but good writing is good writing. Darkstalker is my favorite all-time villain for he is so painfully relatable. (He reminds me of my ex, citing just one example.) Next year, the graphic novel adaptation of his origin story is coming and I can't wait.

This series definitely holds a special place in my heart alongside the Rangers Apprentice as my intro into fantasy books

AHHH I LOVED THESE BOOKS SO MUCH AS A KID I CANT BELIEVE I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT THEM!! i memorized the second book basically cover to cover and adored Tsunami and the seawings design. i also think these books definitely were the gateway that caused teenage me to become obsessed with ASOIAF years later.

super excited for this! i love seeing your videos pop up

17:40 I was already a dragon lover before discovering wof, fan art is actually how I discovered the series, while just browsing dragon art in general. I noticed there was a lot of similar styles and similar dergs together, so I went looking for the source and found wof.

Veteran Wof fan here! I think I remember a long time ago hearing Tui wanted the fourth arc to include one new tribe themed around spiders. In the third arc a lot of the dragons have insect-themed names but Tui specifically left out Spider themed names like Widow or Tarantula because she wanted to use them for the new tribe.

This was a few years ago and Tui could have changed things around since then so we might not be getting that, but it’s a good starting point.

The one thing i wanted as a kid was a book Just about Dragons, I was beyond estatic to see the first published book of Wings of Fire. Have kept up with the series as it's been published, as I still love dragons very very much

Wings of Fire is one of my favourite series overall, with not too many books that you get bored by it, and not not enough books that you wish there were more, but just the right amount. I think the books are interesting and engaging and funny and tui should definitely make more!

I'm 22 and I only just recently got around to reading these books. They are really enjoyable, even for older people. I was concerned that they would be a bit too childish, but they actually handle some some pretty mature, complex and surprisingly gorey themes.
