God regretted making man in Genesis 6:6, what does that mean? Also, how can an all-knowing being regret? Ryan will take a look at this verse which many people are confused about.

Had this question a while back while reading through Genesis and had a friend explain it to me. There a multiple verses where this happens as well where it says God "remembers" someone, but we know that God is everywhere and knows everything so there is no way for God to forget something. A lot of people get hung up on this when this is a great answer and the most logical solution. Great video. Keep spreading the Word of God.

It's like the relationship of a Parent and his/her child. Parents know that their child is gonna make mistake but chose to have them. Parents also grieved whenever his or her child makes mistakes.

If God is all knowing but he regrets making man, he would’ve known that making man was a regret, but he still did it anyways even though he knew it would be a regret?

Great explanation to this verse, as a lot of believers including myself got stuck up on this, but your explanation is great. God bless you

What does it mean when you say, If you get wiped out in the next judgement, you're in hell for eternity

The seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent, then the genealogies were corrupted, Fallen angels were chained. And a flood issued.

I see it as it regretting making humans *on Earth, * because the "make humans sinful 😈" plan worked so well the prototype Earth was getting in the way. 🤷

You can explain it however you want. He regret humans for life. He had other worlds we can’t find.

G-d doesn’t make mistakes that He should feel regret. I prefer the translation that G-d repented. G-d had every right to punish humans for their evil and wickedness. Genesis 6:3: “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years." The 120 years being the time that Noah and his sons constructed the Ark and Noah preached of G- d’s coming wrath. G- d was not willing that humanity would be destroyed, because He is merciful and wanted humans to return to Him. However, G-d is just and He repented (changed His mind) and decided that man had past the point of receiving G- d’s mercy. Do not think of repentance as acknowledging one’s sin and changing one’s behavior. G-d is unlike us. We cannot presume to be like Him. Repentance means only changing one’s mind. Of course, G-d took no pleasure in destroying humanity, but He is righteousness and just nevertheless. Thus, when G-d repented He merely changed His mind from being patient and merciful to issuing His wrath. See also Romans 9:15.

If God is all knowing then he must have known he would regret his actions. So why would he bother doing all that because in the end he would be unhappy about what he did. Hmm, makes you wonder if the whole story is made up🤔

Genesis 6:6 is a reminder that we should all live our life in a way that honors and pleases God

Is it possible Yaweah is NOT all-knowing?? He didn't know where Adam and Eve were. He also regrets - making then destroying humanity. He regrets making Saul a king because Saul disibeyed him by not killing the king and some animals - book of Samuel.🤔

But if God created all he created sin. So he created this thing that he hates? And also a perfect being has these human emotions like anger and regret and hate? It makes zero sense.

Why not kill the rebelled angels then? Lucifer for example? But why men?

So it was versed in a language where humans could understand it. Okay.
But, you just explained it in a different way where we can understand it. Couldn't the bible have done that?

What it should do, it should make you wake up and say.
"If god is all knowing, and he knew of the wickedness of men before he even created them, why did he then create them? He ultimately knows which person is wicked, and which person is good, he knows which person will change, and which won't. Self-realization of the persons themselves play no significant part. So why didn't god just create those people who were of good heart, who god knew how they'll react in any given situation, and send them straight to heaven?"
Here's a great analogy.
"You're starting an ant colony. You know which of the ants that you spawn next is going to rebel, misbehave, sin, be wicked, and wreck chaos on all the good ants, then why on earth and heaven would you allow those ants to live with the good hearted ants? Those same wicked ants will go and molest baby ants, even kill them. What's the point of you allowing this? To teach the good ants? But you already know the good ants and how they'd react in any given moment because you're all knowing. Why not just separate the good ants and spare them all the pain? Pain which you know will happen by you allowing the wicked ants roam free. It's not really a trial if you know the outcome of it. It's not a test if you know the outcome of it. You're testing because you don't know."
So...
Either god is not all knowing.
Or...
He's a sadistic prick.

Wait, you just say that god is all-knowing. That is a big assertion. Where’s the evidence?
