Titanus Doug, also known as the Foetodon, is just one of the many monsters we see in the Hollow Earth. Appearing for a measly 4 seconds, yet has made an immense impact, becoming a fan favourite, thanks to its adorable little face!

Titanus Doug might be one of those creatures in the Hollow Earth that will leave many speculations about how the Godzilla species evolved and his debut in features films. HE SOOO CUTE

Doug is quickly starting to become one of my favorite Titans of all time, he reminds me of my pet lizard

Foetodon also appeared in King Kong (2005), there were a few of them roaming around, one ended up chasing Ann, and then was eaten by the V-Rex. I didn't realize until this video that it was the same fictional species, that's awesome. Just like how the Skullcrawlers are based on the creature that briefly appeared in the 1933 Kong.

While this creature may have been shown only briefly, I will admit I was amazed by how it looked. The fact that it has some resemblance to Godzilla is also quite astonishing to me since this means Godzilla’s kind might not be completely gone, even though he himself is the only one of his particular species.

The Hollow Earth is a place I definitely want to see get explored some more, perhaps in a movie, tv show or graphic novel.

I do love him, he reminds me of my bulldog Dottie. She passed away a few years ago, she was still warm when we found her laying on her favorite matt. Most destructive dog ever, but loved everyone. She always had to tell everyone hello but had a tendency to try and eat everything. Including walls... I miss her.

I can see how 'Doug' does look like a big puppy dog. The first thing I thought about him, though, is how much he looks like Godzilla. It's the small skull, that seems to be shared by both titans, plus the spines on its back. We don't know what juveniles of Godzilla's species look like, so a growth change of back spines for protection to energy regulating plates as they mature is always possible. But until the writers can come up with a reasonable
and plausible story for 'Godzilla junior' I 'can' wait to see a juvenile. But Doug is still a cutie.

I think maybe it's appeal also is from that it could be them unofficially including Peter Jackson King Kong creatures. Same even goes with the Rock-Critters since they were also called the Arachno-Claws by fans. (Ironic since WETA worked on some of the digital effects for this film) Let's pray more creatures from the 2005 Kong creatures can make an appearance in future media along with more classic Toho kaiju or more appearances of the unseen monsters in GKOTM(Mokele-mbembe, Bunyip, Quetzalcoatl, Sekhmet, Typhon,
Yamata-No-Orochi, Abbadon, and Leviathan)
