Επτά συναντήσεις με αφορμή επτά καβαφικά ποιήματα. Στις συναντήσεις, η ανάλυση του ποιήματος ακολουθείται από μια εφ’ όλης της ύλης συζήτηση για την καβαφική ποίηση. Σε μία από αυτές τις επτά συναντήσεις-μαθήματα αναλύεται το ποίημα του Κ. Π. Καβάφη «Ο Δημάρατος» από τον Αναπληρωτή Καθηγητή Νεοελληνικής Φιλολογίας του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, Γιάννη Παπαθεοδώρου.
Κάθε συνάντηση ξεκινά από την ανάλυση ενός επιλεγμένου ποιήματος του Κ. Π. Καβάφη, με σκοπό να επεκταθεί στην ανάλυση του λογοτεχνικού και πολιτισμικού περιβάλλοντος μέσα στο οποίο γράφτηκαν τα συγκεκριμένα έργα. Κάθε ποίημα γίνεται έτσι γέφυρα που οδηγεί σε μια μεγαλύτερη συζήτηση και συσχέτιση με άλλα έργα του ποιητή και άλλων Ελλήνων και ξένων λογοτεχνών και δημιουργών.

Seven meetings about seven C.P. Cavafy poems. In each one of them, the analysis of a particular poem is followed by a comprehensive discussion concerning Cavafy’s work. In one of the seven meetings-lessons, Yannis Papatheodorou, Associate Professor of Modern Greek Literature at the University of Patras, analyzes the Cavafy poem “Dimaratos”.

The starting point of each meeting is the analysis of a particular poem by C.P. Cavafy, with the aim to expand on analyzing the literary and cultural context in which these works were written. Each poem becomes a bridge leading to a larger discussion, examining the connections with other works by Cavafy and by other Greek and foreign literary figures and artists.
