Before I started dating my husband, I thought he was a bad boy. Riding his motorcycle, wearing a leather jacket, only wore black clothes. Our first date was at a Halloween store. He proposed to me at a movie theater. Still owns his motorcycle, but now we're married, painting DnD miniatures together while Lord of the Rings plays in the background. Love my nerd!
Bonus, he's a Hufflepuff.

She’s not wrong, my fiancé has 5 engineering degrees and proposed at our LARP event. He’s such an amazing dad, and a great person. We originally met in HS chess club lol.
My biggest green flag was the fact that the toxic “alpha” nerd guys were weaned out of my man’s friend group. He has 4 sisters and no time for misogyny.

Agree. I married my nerd and we're nerding it up hardcore together. He was Magic the Gathering and all things technical and mechanical loving. I was in just in just about every dorky class and club I could get myself into back in high school. The truth is that geeks make it last and keep it hot.

While some nerds are more broken fringe social outcasts with a chip on their shoulder - a lot of nerds you’ll meet at events like Cons are the absolute best side of nerd culture.

I think a lot of that comes from the fact that while popular traditionally attractive people were steered towards socializing and outward appearances as primary focuses in youth, the nerds went through a period of deep character development through introspection and being alone with themselves. They tend to be more kind hearted, affected by adversity in ways that made them more empathetic. They developed hobbies that were solitary for so long that they can’t wait to share them with someone. They’re used to being introverted, so they’re often very loyal to someone who is loyal to them in return. They’re happier with that loyalty not curious about other relationships or the rush that drives cheaters.

Nerds are just built different. Often times for the better. ❤ Just be sure to compare red to green flags, awful people are everywhere.

I work in a lab, and let me tell you how lovely it is to work with these nerds. I’m a nerd myself, and I’ve had some of the best, funniest conversations with my male coworkers over DND, LOTR, video games, literature, you name it. These men are making great money, very emotionally intelligent, loyal and hilarious.

I got my nerd! Loves anime, plays Yu-Gi-Oh and PokemonGo, and was like a kid when picking out his Harry Potter wand on vacation this past June. Damn good man and I've NEVER been loved better! I love my nerd.
