You are correct, the average return on index funds is well over 7%, closer to 11 as you said. We use 7% as a reference so we are accounting for inflationary pressures on our net worth. Good video as always sir! 👍

Many if my friends that also finished engineering have either a negative net worth or less than 10k. You can make it if you’re lucky/disciplined.

People don't understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments don't match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365, 000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.
