The Edmonton Oilers have Signed AHL Defenceman Philip Kemp to a two-year, two-way extension ($775k).

More News Coming on this front and many more AHL-like Signings. For now this is a Good-One. With the departure of Michael Kesselring to Arizona at the Trade Deadline for Nick Bjugstad.

Kemp although had Always Potential surely now has skyrocketed up the Depth-Chart to an Organizational #8/9 Defenceman who had Solid #-7-7th Defenceman Potential.

Phil Kemp a Late-Round Find of a Steal, a 7th Rounder in 2017, a Solid Right-Shot, whose had three seasons under his belt in the AHL, this year his breakout Season with 6 goals, 15 assists, 21 points in 71 games. The most-telling sign is he has been a +-Plus-Player (+2 in 12 games, +6 in 55 games, and +12 this year in 71 games) on mostly an underwhelming middle-of-the-pack to bottom-feeding Squad. Hopefully the Oil found a good-one, here!
