Harrods the famous department store in London, England is the only like it in the whole world! It comprises of 7 floors and 330 departments of exclusive designer men and women’s wear, accessories, latest technology, and luxury original home furnishings. It attracts millions of customers from across the world with its unrivalled product selection, world-class service, innovative retail theatre and historic setting.
There are 28 restaurants in-store; comprising of Galvin Demoiselle, Bentley's Sea Grill, and the institution that is The Georgian. In 2001 Harrods had a dress code for shoppers. Harrods has been sold since then. I spent a whole day there and only bought one thing and lunch. At least at lunch they gave you a one pound coin so you can get into the rest room or what ever they call it. I don't remember so many empty spaces. When I went the store was a silly crowded with merchandise and much more interesting looking.

25 years ago I was at Harrods and met Inspector Morse the actor. It was in some of the upper sections books and cards hall. Amazing memory!

l visited London four years ago and went out o curiousity to Harrods its amazing.Lucky for me i could have bought two tea towels for three pounds the only affordable thing with the harrods stamp.

I lived in a flat just behind Harrod's in the late '70s.
Used to LOVE wandering through it when it was all old wood panelling and Victorian Food Halls.
I would have no desire to go see all this modern glass and chrome - what a shame how this lovely bit of history has been gutted!

This video does not do Harrods justice, it does not capture the ambience of the tea rooms or the foods halls for example. Harrods is truly majestic and magnificent palace, where the wealthiest of the poorest and richest countries of the world come to shop.

I remember when even shopping Macy’s Dept Store was a “classy” thing in USA now they advertise right along with the rest of retailers... SO SAD to hear Lord & Taylor’s Flagship Fifth Avenue Store NYC just closed permanently 😢
Same thing has happened locally here with original upscale retailers in business since statehood & early part of 20th Century & part of original oil $$$ in Oklahoma are closing brick & mortars!!! Once again 😞
