This video shows OneTouch Verio Flex Meter battery replacement. The replacement battery is CR2032. Easy DIY. This information can be used for One Touch select plus simple blood glucose monitoring meter also.

Steps:
Start with the meter off.
Open the battery door and pull up on the battery ribbon.
With the positive side facing up toward you, place the fresh replacement battery in the compartment within the fold of the ribbon.
Push the battery until it snaps into place.
Insert the two battery door tabs into the matching holes, and push down until you hear the door click into place.

I guess I never gave a second thought to the beastie needing a battery! I added batteries to my grocery list and soon my meter will be normal again.

That kit sucks. It's definitely NOT ACCURATE!! It read after I tested it at 465 I know that was BS so I retook it a minute later and it said 404. Waited another min rinse and repeat and it said 362 waited 30 seconds and did it one more time and it said 365. Bullshit*** cheap crap. No wonder the copay of it was .50¢ never again...
