Join me for the month of June where I complete a diamond painting one section at a time!

A bit of fun for the summer.

The pen for today was gifted to me by Dianna and is a Donna Bass Pen.

Hi Rebecca, have been enjoying our June whip and waffle so much that some of us on the Facebook group think it should go all year as it will keep a lot of us motivated as we will be doing this with you and you get to do some of your diamond paintings as well. Can't wait to see more of what's to come and thank you, Megan and Will for all your hard work on making all the things in the shop as it has made my storage boxes easier.💎💙 thank you

I've not had my nails done since covid either but they are really growing well... except for my right thumb and forefinger as I use those to pick off misplaced drills 😂
So glad you had a laugh at me parrots boils 🤣🤣🤣🤣💚

Thank you for doing the June Wip and Waffle. I am really enjoying it. Every night when I post my progress picture on facebook I love going through the other posts and looking at everyone's progress. That made me think wouldn't it be nice if there was a video/slide show with all the finished June projects. What do you think?

I'm a British history nerd myself, which is kinda hillarious when you consider that I'm Canadian. The Tudor Era is the one that I keep coming back to, and I'm currently obsessed with Six, a musical about Henry VIII's wives. It's playing currently on the West End and will be playing on Broadway when it reopens.

So loving your winter tree your doing. I am currently on a no buy until I get my stash down. But I am thinking of getting the kit after I got stash down and change some of the colours completely. Just as an experiment too see how it will turn out. Thinking it be good one too do with some of my lots of spares I have.

I use glue dots for my single placer and Elmer’s tac in my multiplacers (it’s easier to remove). Just got my 7 tray order and they are ❤️❤️❤️.

Diamonds are a girl's best friend ! I forget where I have heard it. It maybe a part of a song or movie. Now with diamond painting, it is so true !

I would love that tray. But I like unique odd things that are kind of one of a kind

The heat from your light sorce can also be a factor in how often you fill your pen with wax.

My goodness, that pen from Diana is gorgeous. I love both the color and design. Did the loose rings get annoying in anyway while you were using it? I would be worried they would, but I don't think it would stop me from owning one. You see...in addition to hoarding diamond paintings, I also hoard the pens too. I'm a little embarrassed to say I have 53 acrylic pens and 17 other fancy shaped pens (plastic, polymer and others). I can't seem to stop buying them. Thank you so much for sharing!

For my tips, when I tried something else the first time, I used whatever poster tack adhesive I could find and use a coupon on at a craft store. I immediately hated it. It's gooey and never wants to come out of the tips once in. When I used wax and would replace it, I wouldn't top it off but would rather remove the old wax and start new and because I had been in that habit so I instinctively wanted to try and remove the poster adhesive when it was no longer sticky, too (it bothers me when stuff starts to squish through the opening in the brass...thank goodness I have 1 stainless tip for all my pens and spares for future purchases now, haha). It just doesn't like to come out of the tips cleanly AND I found that it lost its sticky faster than the pink wax anyway.

The next thing I was GOING to try was the magic tape (it's called by many names, but it's basically a clear tape meant to be removable and used similarly to poster tack adhesive and can be washed to get its sticky back) but before I found a good deal on it since it is a huge roll and quite an investment to use such a little bit in a pen tip, I found the glue dots recommendations. It was immediate success. It can take a bit to get the right amount in your pen (too much can make the pen stickier than the canvas and the two adhesives will fight over who gets to keep the diamond) but once you get it in the right range, it is perfect and lasts for such a long time. I can use a pen for days or weeks depending on how much diamond painting I do whereas with wax, I had to switch pens every 15-20 minutes so I would fill both sides of all of my pens and use them all up before repeating the process. The ONLY downside to glue dots is that now I don't have as much LEGITIMATE reason to own so many pens because I don't have to switch the glue dots out very often. I do live in Las Vegas, so it could just be the climate...we've already seen many 117ish F degree days (about 47.2 C) already this month.

Can you and/or hubby do a video showing the 3d printer and the accessories you have added to make it work better? I've had my eye on a 3d printer for a while (and Ender 3 or is it 300? seems to be the way to go from what I've seen) but I wouldn't really know exactly what to do beyond setting it up out of the box.

I sent a load of Lego to the charity shop before I moved, should have thought ahead, ah well I'll try it with Lego Technics as I still have some of those.

I actually have two other sizes of release paper besides 6x4” (15x10cm). The others are 6 1/4 x 4 3/4” (16 x12cm ) and 6x6” (15x15cm), and I have nothing that they fit in for storing.
