I grew up in the Chicago area, I was a ghetto kid later relocated to Wisconsin (which isn’t much better) I have a good handful of hilarious yet sad memories trying to bring my homies around my family who were more upscale.
My “family” never excepted me or them.

And this is one of the few movies that shows how deep both bonds of friendship & family can be and how negative they can become
