When you first start out this is a very good tactic, and if you grow enough to allocate a team to do this it's even better. Listening to your user's feedback can improve your product/service tremendously.

Yeah it has that many active users because you need a pinterest account to do anything on it, including viewing other images that you click on while on the site vs being linked to it. Its like being shocked that there's a correlation in people who drive having driver's licenses
