Lol, unfortunately this all will fail. Tata and India will never become a EV superpower as they want to become. Their cars will never be competitive outside India...especially since they basically are going the protection route by making the competition impossible to comptete by artificially boosting cost with massive taxes to foreign products. Protectionism never works and it makes you a bad partner for business.

You should have took the same route as China...by opening them up to REAL business/completion instead of restricting it. Within a couple year China has learned what they needed to from foreign companies and is already building competitive products. They are now going to be able to scale this up and compete on the world stage...meanwhile India will just go backwards and force inferior products on their citizens.

Its a shame too. Inda finally had a chance to become a world player and take advantage of this new transition to electrification. They have the talent and workforce...and instead chose the corrupt cronies route.
