Turkey's economy is feeling the pressure from Russia's ban on imports of Turkish fruit and vegetables. The ban is just one of the sanctions Moscow imposed after Turkey shot down one of its warplanes in November, 2015. The import bans took effect on January first. Many Turkish sellers are hit twice: once with the loss of a major market and again with the resulting drop in prices.

The guy really talks down to his employees, even when he knows he's being recorded! This video, although not on purpose, did point out an important aspect of stores and produce- how many markets only want cosmetically perfect fruit. The imperfect fruit and vegetables are relegated to be processed for juices, condiments, or considered a loss and simply thrown away.
