Anantapur district is said to be one of the strongholds for the Telugu Desam party. However, the party could manage to bag just 2 MLA seats out of the total 14 in this district in 2019 elections.
Incidentally, TDP senior leader JC Diwakar Reddy has already announced that he will be staying away from politics.
Suri has decided to quit TDP and join in BJP. This decision stunned many TDP activists as Suri has been a key leader for the party right from the start of his political career.BJP is trying to strengthen its cadre in Anantapur and Siri’s addition will do a world of good to the saffron party.
Former MLA Varadapuram Suri, an Anantapur district Dharmavaram, is likely to join the BJP. At his office in Dharmawaram, he met with the leaders of the Suri constituency.
It is said that Suri sent Chandrababu's letter to resign to the TDP. But, there is still a need for clarity on this. There is a rumor that the Suri BJP Theertha is likely to emerge in the first week of next month.
The party's district president Beeke Parthasarathy, former ministers, canal Srinivas and Palle Raghunatha Reddy are reportedly in talks with him as he is campaigning for Vadapuram Suri TDP. Suri hopes to change party in view of the constituency in the constituency.
After the election results, Varadapuram Suri met Chandrababu. Chandrababu held a review meeting with the candidates who contested the elections. Suri was also away from the meeting. They are said to be away from the meeting due to ill health.
Suri talks to BJP national president Amit Shah through BJP top leader AP state incharge Ram Madhav. Suri is likely to join the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah on July 5.
