I currently use this laptop for computer gaming and runs most modern games with decent framrate with medium/High settings.

@GreenDayFan2497 Yes this laptop has a mic built in, Combat arms should run without lag, high settings. from looking at the requirements online this laptop can handle it easily. And the laptop stays entirely cool. never had a lot of heat even running games, applications, music and so on.. this laptop is perfect.

@TheAhemahemahem Actually the one at walmart for 314 is a different model with a slower processor, and ddr2 memory... the model above costs more because it has a better processor and has ddr3 ram making the laptop better, more efficient and fatser..

i have an cq56 and it used to overheat a lot and had it fixed.
since it came back the problems ceased
but it does not play gt iv at good grapics but the speed is ok

@bibby42 yeah, this laptop can play alot of graphical intense games like left 4 dead 2, team fortress 2, all valve games, and city of heroes should run great, and mass effect should run fine with the settings to med/high. Thank for watching and yeah this song is great!!

@jtoro97 I have this same laptop and so far it runs games quite well i have it elevated up so the vent gets more room to breath and keeps it a bit cooler, especially for games, it doesn't run them on ultra but it gets the job done, i recommend upgrading it with a better processor and more ram i am using 3gb ram and have an AMD Athlon ii

They should have pre-loaded Windows 7 Starter edition as opposed to Home Premium edition on this Laptop.

1. Make a Windows 7 Recovery Boot CD
2. Delete the 'back up' partition
3. Reboot and run the Win7 recovery CD 'Repair your computer' option
4. Create a 1.5 GB Linux swap and 11 GB ext4 "'/" partition
5. Reboot and install Pinguy OS or Linux Mint onto the "'/" partition
6. Admire how snappy the system is and how 1080p MKV video files now play flawlessy!

Battery life is aprox 2 Hrs :(
