'had to talk him out of taking a job as a party rep in ibiza' is the most jamie vardy statement I've ever heard

The only reason Antonio worked out for us was that West Ham did not sign him as a striker, thus circumventing the striker curse. Now if only we can pursuade Broja he's actually a DM.

Get Joelinton on this list! From 40 mil striker flop turning into prime Vieira in half a season under Howe

50?! In 11 years?! That's an insane stat I've never thought about. Now I gotta figure out how many other English clubs have bought that many forwards. I don't buy even 30 forwards in a 15 year FIFA career.

This list has Joelinton written all over it

Hector Herrera at Porto, from looking like a total waste of money, clumsy, lost, and someone that would leave through the back door, to club captain and the embodiment of the club mystique at the time

You forget Torres scored the opening goal in the 2013 Europa League final too

Torres and Modric is completely wrong. Henderson should top this list. From being unwanted and facing criticisms from all corners and being made captain and winning every trophy is a fairy tale

Fernando Torres was a flop though, £50m wasted by Chelsea - he never hit the heights expected and barely scored in his spell there.

Koscielny was never a flop to start with, he was a right-back from Guingamp, then in the second division in France, so it should be expected he'd take time to adapt, but he quickly did. It must not be forgotten that Koscielny was dependant on Mertesacker and vice-versa to do their defensive jobs correctly - Mertesacker would sit back while all the front-foot defending was done by Koscielny. It is telling that, when Mertesacker retired, Koscielny started to get injuries more frequently and decline in general, probably due to the extra running and last-ditch tackles he was having to commit due to the other defenders at the time not being terribly good.

Ranato sanchez, in portugal he looked a good player, never had a chance at breaking in the bayern team but then looked a really poor player at swansea

Only to leave germany go france & help lille win a league .
Far from the form he had at swansea & not a swansea fan either

Torres is literally a Chelsea hero. A Atleti legend, and Spanish legend. Dude has a dream career. Chelsea’s squad wasn’t even that great but I felt like they never truly believed in him.

Lol at the last stat about De Gea, having the best whatever for United in the exact era he's been first choice keeper at United so there hasn't really been anyone else to compare him to

Haven’t watched this video but I’m pretty sure modric is in it

10. He's still a flop at Chelsea. Only credit he has at Chelsea was the goal against Barcelona.
9. Never a flop. Went from a decent winger to a good striker.
8. Stupid. Casemiro was never a flop. Played a crucial role in Madrid's consecutive Champions league win.
7. Him and Mertesacker were the last solid defensive duo for Arsenal.
6. He won me over thanks to Klopp reinventing his careet.
5. First season was tough for De Gea but became a club legend.
4. Dzeko rebuild his career at Italy. Looked unconvincing at City but became a club legend at Roma.
3. Another late bloomer. Age 28 won the Premier League and age 33 won the golden boot.
2. He did helped Atletico Madrid to win La Liga and two Premier League titles with Chelsea. Though was a flop at his second stint at Atletico Madrid.
1. The Spanish media like the English media are full of shit. Modric is the greatest midfielder we've ever seen for a while.

Calling Torres a Chelsea legend is such stretch. 1 famous goal in game they were winning already. Made memorable by Neville

Surprised not to see Joelinton on here. Went from a Premier League meme to Newcastle United Player of the Year

I had no idea so many legends of today had such rough beginnings. I had completely forgotten Casemiro's spell at Porto. He's such a fixture in Madrid's midfield!

This feels like an old school top tens lol

I'd add Stiliyan Petrov to the list. Though not as legendary and successfup as the ones in the video, don't forget the Aston Villa fans at first viewed him as one of the worst PL players. Two years later he became Martin Laursen's heir with the captain armband.
