After two years of heavy use, I review the Bose qc35 ii over-ear noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones pros and cons. A brief tutorial of the Bose App, and how good are the QuietComfort 35 II in noise cancelation, sound quality and longevity in 2021? - (No ear pads replacement needed yet!)

- I will discuss the sound quality for movies and music
- Comfort levels from the 8.3 ounces of weight over ear
- Padding longevity and comfort
- Noise cancellation (does it work for cancelling plane noise and children screaming?)
- Headphone controls
- Headphone jack location and functions
- Google Assistant button and tutorial
- The Bose app pairing devices such as phones via Bluetooth
- Battery duration and charging times - 20 hours wirelessly or 40 of using headphone jack
- Audio quality (which is fantastic)
- Ability to connect to two devices
- Price for Bose qc35 ii
- Replacement
- Microphone and using for making and receiving phone calls

I will also point out some negative features at the end, including the fact the headphones get hot
When exercising.

Fans of the Bose QuietComfort II will defend the headphones ferociously, and after putting them
through their paces for two years, I find I agree with them!

Thank you KTT for a great review. Because of your information I purchased the Bose QC 35 II on Amazon for 200 USD. It was a long drawn out decision for me. Back and forth between the Sony's and the Bose. Then I watched your review and it hit me WHY I should get the Bose. All the reviewers that actually spent their own money making the comparison, chose the Bose. The reviewers that were given the headphones freely were choosing differently. In any case I was not a fan of the booming, overdone bass of the Sony's. I did prefer the balanced sound of the Bose and your review sealed the deal. The fact that your sister was so annoyed at the time spent doing your field testing showed me that you spent real time making this decision. Thanks again. I "Liked" and "Subscribed" so keep the honest and real reviews coming.

I’ve had these since launch, they are amazing - wired or Bluetooth. Worth noting the audio jack is 2.5mm on the headphones and 3.5mm on the other end (with the bundled cable).

I've never had a problem with my wireless Bose qc2 headphones 🎧....14 months later the performance is even better...I can even link to my big screen and watch a movie or use my Xbox and play some games....

Great information and when there are so many headsets on the market, points straight to one of the best pairs. Looking forward to more tech updates in the future.

It's a beast to be honest! I love it a lot. When you fly with it, especially on a long haul flight, you'll definitely love it. All baby crying sounds and the jet engine sounds are blocked. Super fantastic!

Just bought these today, and watching videos to hype me up lol. After 3 years of my
Sennheiser HD 4.40 BT decided to go with these as a replacement as they are absolutely comfortable, my previous once felt like a vacuum after wearing them for a while, but these sorta cradles your earlobes without squishing them

Watching this with my new Sennheiser Momentum 3.
I had the QC35ii. What I miss about them is the comfort and being able to work with two devices seamlessly.
Great video. Greetings from México :-)

i was tempted to get them myself, but recently there was a sale here in Canada with Bose 700s which made them about $50 more expensive (In canada) so i opted to get those instead as they should be one generation ahead.

Anyways i had the Bose soundlink for a few years and they were great but were missing the noise cancellation which i really would of liked to have since i live in the city and surrounded by noisy streets. Decided to stick with Bose, since the older pair lasted me a fair amount of time.

Love these headphones! I wasn’t able to connect these to tv, but I have fire stick, and went to settings on there, and clicked on Bluetooth and other devices, and it paired flawlessly. I don’t have cable anymore so just use streaming devices.

I love the bose QC 35. The only problem is the ear cushions degraded very fast for me. Didn’t even last 1 year.

the earpads on mine are all busted up—is there a way to have them replaced without buying a whole new pair? ty

I like the headphones a lot. I wear them all day, and they're the most comfy wireless headphones I've tried on. But my earpads un-glued (both of them) about 4 - 5 months in.... Bought some stitched wicked cushions, that held up significantly longer, but eventually it was the material that fell apart on those, but worse still... is that they made the NC a lot worse, which is the whole point of buying these headphones in the first place. (so I'd stay away from aftermarket stuff if you value NC, as you should, since that's what you bought them for!)

The official cushions are really expensive, and you know they'll just eventually un-glue, which is a big yikes for such an expensive part... this is not a small issue buyers can ignore, it WILL happen to you, if you repeatedly use them for long sessions (it's the heat build up that causes this problem)

So now I'm debating if it's worth to keep dumping money on these, or if I should just buy different headphones that don't have these money burning issues...

Some people might think that 35 dollars for replacement cushions is reasonable.. but let me remind you, that you can get a full set of NC headphones that rival the bose in sound quality (some would argue they hands down sound better) for about 70 bucks... (the anker Soundcore life Q30)

Those won't have as nice a mic, or equal the bose in NC, but you get my point... 70 bucks for a brand new set of headphones, compared to spending 35 dollars for another 5 months of use on the Bose.. (BTW, my Sony XM2's have never had the ear cushions degrade and I've used those a lot too... but those have another issue which I don't need to get into)

TL;DR:

Good, comfy headphones, but the ear cushions are very much disposable, which wouldn't be such a big deal if they weren't so god damn expensive.
