This place was truly unforgettable, I've never been somewhere as peaceful and as intricate as Milford sound and the animals were so unique and beautiful, wish we had 2 more days here as there are endless things to do. This is definitely one of New Zealand's must sees.

We went New Zealand in 2016. Absolutely beautiful place. But I loathe the sand flies.

4:40 Fun fact about the Kea: they're one of the only birds that actively engage in a "playtime" as adults.

They have a special call (ppl describe it as like a "cackle laugh") & it's contagious, so any other Kea in the area will hear it & start to play together, almost immediately, it's that powerful an instinct in them.

So yes, these beautiful birds are extremely intelligent & fascinating. A real treasure of endemic birds in the world.

There is an artwork in the new south wales gallery of Australia which name is Milford Sound exactly. What a pity I haven't came to milford in the last trip to Newzealand, that must be a destination for next time arrive to that place. wonderland!
